Skiing Into Spring
Green with brown is probably my most favorite color combination. Very earthy. And these long earrings have that fresh and bright Spring Garden appeal!
I did not plan to have these earrings "Skiing Into Spring," haha! Originally I had this cool idea, (or what I thought would be a cool), for an interlocking-yet-swinging-mechanical-sort-of-design concept.
My hand-curved Argentium® Silver links swing forward to back with the dangling hearts "captured" between the parallel copper bars. I hammered and distressed the copper and gave the bars a graceful S curve -- so that the hearts would hang nicely just inside the lower curve -- and then wire wrapped the copper in Metal Purity_.999 Fine Silver with a series of tiny Swarovski crystals for some added sparkle.
The effect, combined with bright "Teal Paradise Sea Salt" lampwork mini-hearts, by Jenelle Aubade of Paradise Beads, rather reminds me of skiing. Not snow skiing, though... more like skiing through a dew-glistened grassy meadow! In Ireland. ;)
Earrings sweep the shoulders at 3.5" from the tops of their sterling silver French wire hooks.
- Note: All earwires/earring hooks may be exchanged upon request--usually without additional cost.
